Changing concept of essential amenities…
Are making people in general money minded.
These money minded personalities
Either wants to make money by corruption
Or they try to minimize losses by unethical ways.
To claim false medical bill is one of such way which is no more looks like an offence.
Such money minded people do force doctors to issue false medical bills for claim or to get exemption from income tax. These people often demands false medical leave certificate from a Doctor to avoid lapse of their casual leaves.
Being a family doctor…Doctor often gets confused what to do. To keep relations intact he has to choose some better option.
Emerging health insurance companies with their attractive policies is adding Burdon on Doctor’s mind to solve the issue of false medical claims.
In general more than ten percent of his consultation time is being wasted in discussion on issue of demand of false medical bills or certificates.
Aggressive relatives do emotionally black mail the Doctor…they demand attractive offer for settling such claims.
These over smart people are converting an honest Doctor into a corrupt personality.
New fresh doctor had never got an education of such issues…
This is now day part and parcel of Medical Profession. Slowly he learns every thing which society or people in general do teach him.
Being a part of society he becomes a Doctor where ethics of professions changes…and malpractice is no more malpractice.
What is the price to pay to become a Doctor?

Once you decide you want be a Doctor…your tension starts…
You may be inspired by some family person or other relative who is a doctor…
You may be influenced by the way doctors are recognized in Society…
Your eyes might be flashed to the money a doctor is earning ….
Or…
You may be delighted by cured patient’s blessings to a doctor…
What was may be the reason once you decide or aims to become doctor…
You & your close one in family start…with action plan.
The way they start is difficult to explain…may differ….
But the common factor is the tension…tension & the tension…only….
In a particular year of 11th standard even before the December….you either hear or think of Common Entrance Examination for Medical college admission…for not less than thousand times…
(I was lucky…no such exam was there during our time)
Twelfth Standard
It starts from January of 11th standard.
These above mentioned things are common to all students in spite of he or she wants to choose a medical or engineering or any other field…
So Life of all students of science in general is some how alike…
So no more comments on it…
Admission to college
Donation & expenses
The Real Tension starts building after board examination results & gets at its peak on the day you see your common Entrance Examination result on Net….
Irrespective of marks everybody is equally unsatisfied.
Only there are very few exceptions to this fact.
They are great…in spite of less than optimum marks…they remain…cool…
Here I want emphasize a fact that percentage of cool guys are higher in cases of a student who has chosen engineering side…
Students chosen medical health side are more in stress…why not their personality willing to serve human being in true sense is the real reason behind it…they should be sentimental…caring…as it is the prerequisite for a doctor…
Since their mind set is ready to become a doctor…
All related close one starts analyzing various options…
(I am not able to write more on it as having no experience as such)
And finally He or she gets admission to a particular college.
Great relief to all concerned…& to a future doctor…
Age is 17 to 22
Stress of studies…
Then this Future doctor flying in the sky….
slowly in a month or two ….comes down on ground…
She/she was ready to be a doctor…starts studying…
Hectic schedule….vast syllabus…literally…squeezes him /her…
My personal experience:
After first day in anatomy dissection hall…it was very hard to sleep on that night…it was very difficult to keep away dead bodied flashing in front of closed eyes.
The stinking fleshy smell of dead bodies was stricken to nasal mucosa for more than a month.
He/she is in the college…but do they enjoy the Real Life of College?
The answer is absolutely No….
Forget about enjoying they even do not find time to eat properly…
They try to do their level best.
Learns to accepts failure…good…their mind set is tuning to convert himself into a doctor profession…in where there are no positive marks…but only negative marks for mistakes…& no excuse….
The days passes fast…& fast….
Now he is in last year of his graduation…
And his friend old langoti yar who is not with him or in a race to become a doctor…meaning he is in non medical field….has been interviewed for a good salaried job…
The news of his selection may excite you…but your exam is on your face…
Your friend old langoti yar got his first salary last six month back only…invited for a party…you are busy with your studies
Now again he request…he invites you for party…but…alas!!!!…tomorrow is your exam…
Let me concentrate on my studies…
(This story is not news based …it is my own experience…)
Thanks God! There are my friends of my medical college…same as me…caring for each other to avoid emotional crisis…
Admission to PG… (Age – 24 / 25)
Finally you are out….You was examined by other senior doctors & declared as cured…
This the real time of your life you are waiting to enjoy since last seven /eight years…
And you enjoy…& want to be little relaxed….but No way….
You can not be relaxed…you are posted to some remote place for your internship…
The very next day you join there…
No comments on period of my internship…as with ups & downs I got so much experience of medical world & real big world…In true I became a Doctor…
And was even ready to start my private practice…
That time days are gone now….The doctor joins as internee…but his focus is not learn but he his worried about his next target…
Yes second Common Entrance for Post graduation…
Small period like commercial break is over…
and the Doctor again becomes student…
Of course not that tense…as during graduation….as he now know how to face the exams.
Today he is happy…got a half day leave…he is going to a ceremony…
He goes before the times…so happy & excited….
Why not… his old langoti yar is getting married.
He got the job…He got…the Wife…& he got …the Life…
On that day you was not able to sleep properly….you are far away in race of Life…
Job…money…source…you even can think of it…rather you are waiting for your close one to transfer money in your account….
Wife…what is it…you have never thought of it yet…Your real companions are your books…& my patients…&
Life…what Life?…I have been devoted myself to a medical profession….it’s my doctors life….I am not a ordinary persons who gets married….enjoys life with his wife & kids…
No I am not prepared for that…. at least now…
My aim is to become a devoted Doctor…& …I sleep…….
Now
It is the time to get more experience or super specialty.
(Age… 27 years)
Now it is the time to become serious student …you are grown now…mature…and know how important the days are….
Most beautiful time period of every person’s life…is between twenty to thirty years of age.
But you are not even aware of it…or you do not want to look at it….
Your first aim is the common medical examination for Post graduation…
You work hard…your internship period gets over as you are repeating an examination…
I do not know …what label I should…give the part of your life….
Your langoti yar Friend come to your residence with her wife & small kid or Kids…
You spend some time with them…
He goes….you are thinking of your pocket money…as expenses are beyond the limit…as you are going to some coaching class…for your entrance examination…and stipend you received is no more….
Your close one assures you not worry about money…but…but…you can not hide drops of tear in your own eyes…
No time to become sentimental….
And finally you get an admission to a specialty which was your last choice and at the place which you was not prepared to go….
But…now you are grown enough to go any where in the world…..
So you join your post graduation…..
Age is 28 / 29 years
Your term is going to end & your close one finally changed your mind….and you gets married…to a another lady doctor….nay be doing internship…and ready to face all struggle that you have experienced….
You hardly get five or seven days leave….your marriage….your honey moon….every things has to be packed up as early as possible….
Now both the student again busy in their respective studies…
No can even tell that they just married couple…
Al the last your academic activity is over and you are a specialist doctor….
What a price one has to pay to become a doctor.
It is hard to get on your foot for newly borne doctor.

In world of competition he has to give his hundred percent to get establish.
Age is 30 / 31 years
Big Problems…
Everybody is happy….no….your close one and you are in confusion…
What next….job for experience…a job to make money….…attachments to big institutes…Private Consultation…..or Big set up….….
You choose mixture of all…and move…
Now you are little bit comfortable….there may be good news…you are going to become father….
And your Life starts to give everything …you were waiting for….at the age of thirty five…
But after all now stage has come you cam say I am settling…..
Treating the patient is not the big issue….facing the complication in medical profession is not challenging to you…
The real concern is to convince the patient …their relative…..bargaining on billing…
You are not ready to get abused by relative of patient….so instead you try to pressurize them….it is so time consuming and annoying….
Competitions
You are at the age of 40….
Two third of your life has gone….and you realize it is to time to get relaxed…and to enjoy…what other persons and your Langoti yar had enjoyed at the age of 25 to 30…
Nothing to worry…everybody has his time….and so it is yours…
You plan a trip….for a month….no…15 days…and finally 7 days….
You know your meter is down when you are out…optional to those who are in a job
But majority of doctors are same experience as mentioned by me.
Changing norms…
You finally get settled at the age of 40 to 45.
You have to change according to changing norms of Medical Practice….it is not optional…but you have to change to survive in competition…
You need to be constantly up grade your self…your set up…and everything….
Your investment never ends…
Your friend gives you news of maturity of his some policy…and now it your time to invest at least for your dear one…
So norm is
Learn…Earn…and invest….that’s all…
Stress…
Age is between 45 to 50 years…
Doctor is also a human being…told by great philosopher Swami Vivekananda…
You try to limit your consultation on days…or hours….
But the people’s reaction for that is not good…their thinking is different…Doctors are at Risk.
Now my age is just forty seven completed…
So I stop here ……….

Once you entered ….there no way out…
Let us compare with all the profession…
The only doctor is the person to whom every familiar person asks queries about their health related problems.
Or as doctor it becomes mandatory to you to ask he or she regarding her health…or you may be labeled as irresponsible doctor…or person.
I have seen many professionals all the time talking to you regarding the subject related to their job or profession…many time…that is not meaningful…or even rubbish to you…but you have to listen to them and to nod.
But when they switch to your topic they will start with but speed up with changing gears and the topics becomes their topic as it is about health topic…meaning the heath of a persons other than doctor that is other than you…so you are again suppose to listen their medical history and all the details…their experiences…comments…and if they allow you…you are to guide them or reassure them. There are few exceptions to this.
Coming to comparisons of all other professions…take example of Professional dealing with computer…he will either talk on new recent advances his achievements…and related topic and speed up and will change to your topic by asking you’re the way to minimize strain of eyes or to avoid pain of right index finger…
If you met any other engineer the same thing will be there but the medical condition is to be discussed will be different…may be backache…or like…
Same with a banker…he just loves to give you details of economy and talk on financial crisis and related topic…and his track smoothly changes and now it is concerned about his health…mainly backache…or pedal edema…
If you met a teacher…the story may be different…they may switch over directly to your topic…and you will soon know that a teacher is all the time teacher like doctor is all the tome doctor…but here you are facing a teacher and you are not a doctor …but his student…and ready to learn…and the teacher uses all his effort to prove how good enough he is in his medical knowledge even if he is of non medical profession…the things he teaches you by his own or his relative’s illness experiences…
If you are making conversation with a lawyer…please do not dare to ask anything related to law as they never gives you free consultation. They will divert your subject by using their skill…and will start taking your cross examination….on health related topics.
The person who has least bothering about his profession or not related to it…say a house wife…will…just start by enquiring you…or may irritate you by asking …you are free today?…no patients?…you just smiles…and…it’s time now to upset as you realizes he or she is your patient now and you are his or her doctor now…the difference is here you are not active enough …instead he or she is narrating his condition and after your short comments his second related condition’s story begins…until he/she finishes all…and he/she starts breathing heavily after long speech…
Exception to this is the only person to whom you can label as your true Care taker…close one…who believes in the fact that a doctor is also human being and he also can have same problems like all others.
For rest of the others it is very difficult for them…they even can not think that a doctor can face a problem related to health. They are ready to rub salt on your abrasion by saying a doctor knows everything…they take medicine in advance…and remains healthy and fit…and unfortunately…it is exactly opposite.
And when a doctor meets their doctor friends…again the subject is patient…medicines…recent advances…and related to medical profession…both not ready to forget that they are doctors.
In short doctor either himself do not want to forget that he is a doctor or the persons to whom he met not allow forgetting him that he is a doctor.
So final concluding remark is –
There is no way out for doctor…he himself has trapped him in a circle where there is no way out.
